  • A detailed risk assessment, with regular communication between you, relevant authorities, and our team.
  • Development and submission of a customized, adaptable Operating Schedule aligned with licensing objectives.
  • Completion and submission of all application documents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Management of any objections or feedback during the 28-day consultation period on your behalf.
  • Preparation of public notices for display at your premises and publication in a local newspaper.

Stages of the Application Process

Initial Consultation
Complete our questionnaire to provide essential information, including:

  • Details of the licence holder (individual or business).
  • Proposed Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS).
  • Proposed opening hours and licensable activities.
  • Key elements of the Operating Schedule (how your business will meet the four licensing objectives).

First Draft
We’ll draft your application, ensuring it aligns with local licensing policies and regulations. If specific considerations arise, we’ll consult you for further input.

Submission
Upon your approval, we will submit the application to the licensing authority and initiate the 28-day statutory consultation period. During this time, we’ll oversee progress and liaise with any parties raising concerns.

Public Notices
We’ll arrange the publication of public notices in the local newspaper (within 10 days of submission) and prepare notices for display at your premises throughout the consultation period.

Consultation Period
If no unresolved objections remain at the conclusion of the consultation period, the licence will be granted.

Fees

Our Admin Fee (per premises):
£850 (No Vat)

Additional Costs (estimated):

  • Licensing Authority Fee: Approximately £190 (varies based on your property’s rateable value).
  • Newspaper Notice Fee: Estimated £150–£250.

What’s Not Included:

  • Preparation of premises plans: While plans don’t need to be professionally drawn, they must meet licensing requirements (scale 1:100 unless otherwise agreed, including details such as entrances, exits, alcohol storage, licensable areas, and firefighting equipment).
  • Representation at a Licensing Authority hearing: If objections cannot be resolved, representation at a hearing is not included but can be arranged if needed.

Next Steps
Once you engage our services, we will provide a questionnaire to gather important information about your business, including:

  • Details of the licence holder (individual or company).
  • Proposed Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS).
  • Planned opening hours and licensable activities.
  • Key elements of your Operating Schedule (how your business will meet the four licensing objectives).

After receiving the completed questionnaire, we’ll start drafting your application.
